So interesting Duy oi, lots of information I - as a woman - don't know about period 🤭 Also, did not know not having period while maintaining my health issues actually a possible option out there. Though I'm also hesitant for that option, but very interesting point!

This is great! Now do how it affects menopause.

Menopause starts when you haven't had a period in 12 months. If you're taking hormones to stop your normal flow, how do you know when, if you're in menopause?

I think it’s important to consider other symptoms of menopause transition other than just missed periods, as it can behave quite differently for each person. However, my medical knowledge on this topic is limited, so I recommend consulting with your doctor for a more comprehensive understanding.

Also, everyone should have a general health check-up every six months.

No. Menopause starts when you haven't had a period in 12 months. Gyno exams are once a year unless you have other issues.

You did such a good job defending never having your period, now you need to follow up on the future of that decision. It's one thing to say "hey! It's great never have your period!" But then what?

Women get shafted at every turn, not just the check-out line.

There are several reputable resources, but none that I have found answer this question.

Regarding the test, yes gyno exam are recommended to be taken once a year, but general health check-ups would help you to keep your symptoms in check. So, if menopause is causing you any symptoms, you should be well advised.

And I cannot agree more with the statement, "Women get shafted at every turn." The fact that it's very likely that women will be shamed if they decide to stop their periods is why I started writing this post. That is reality. I hope that in my post I didn't make it seem like it was an easy thing to do.

What I wanted to emphasize is that no matter what they choose, period or not, they should not be shamed by other people, given the facts. It's rooted in our culture and obviously not something that we can change immediately, but at least the change needs to be started. I want to do my part by informing people about it. That is my opinion.
